East Knoxville residents and community leaders gathered Monday in Five Points for the reveal of the Five Points master plan.
Knoxville's Community Development Corporation hosted several public workshops last fall to gather community input on the redevelopment of the Walter P. Taylor housing complex.
The master plan hopes to restore the sense of neighborhood, add in several sidewalks and create more green space for the neighborhood. Housing density will be reduced from 500 units to between 285 and 355 units.
Several housing styles will be built in the area including multi-family apartments, townhomes and updated senior living.
