A popular weekend event is getting some national recognition.
"The Daily Meal" ranked Knoxville's Market Square Farmers Market as one of the best in the country.
The downtown destination ranked 20th on the list of 101 best farmers markets in America for 2014.
Everything at the Market Square Farmers' Market is grown or made by the vendor in the East Tennessee region. Products vary by the seasons and include produce, eggs, honey, herbs, free-range meat, bread, baked goods, salsas, coffee and artisan crafts.
This is the 10th year for the market, which is open from May to November on Wednesdays (11 am-2 pm) and Saturdays (9 am-2 pm)
