KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Knoxville Fire Department is seeking any information that could shed light on the circumstances leading to what started the fire at Dollar General in Cedar Bluff.
On Tuesday, KFD responded to reports of a fire at Dollar General located in the strip mall, which resulted in significant damage, KFD said.
"No detail is too small and even the most seemingly insignificant piece of information could prove instrumental in the investigation," Knoxville Fire said.
KFD is asking those who were in the vicinity of Dollar General, inside the store on the day of the fire, or whoever has information, to come forward.
"We are reaching out to the community for their cooperation and support in this matter," Mark Wilbanks, assistant chief of Knoxville Fire Department, said. "Our priority is to ascertain the cause of the fire. Any information provided by members of the public will be treated with the utmost confidentiality and used solely for investigative purposes."
