All fawn and games | Deer crashes soccer game in Pennsylvania

Newswatch 16 viewers shared video of the unusual interruption at Monday's scrimmage.

LACKAWANNA COUNTY, Pa. — An unexpected player was spotted on the field during a soccer game in Lackawanna County.

Newswatch 16 viewers sent in videos Monday evening of a deer that ran onto the field during the second half of a scrimmage between the Abington Heights and Central Columbia girls' soccer teams.

The scrimmage was being played on the new turf field at Abington Heights, just outside of Clarks Summit.

Central Columbia won the game 7 to 3.

The deer did not score any of the goals and left the field before they could be given a red card.
