A Knox County day care worker was arrested Friday for child abuse.
Tina Atchley worked at Cozy Kids day care. On June 6th, she allegedly slapped an 8-month-old boy off a counter onto a floor where he landed on his head. The boy was treated at Children's Hospital for multiple head injuries.
She was fired immediately.
Officials say this is an isolated incident.
Atchley is currently in the Knox County Jail on $30,000 bond.
