Crossville police asking public to limit non-emergency travel

The Crossville Police Department is issuing an emergency notification to anyone living or traveling in the city or Cumberland County area.

The Crossville Police Department is issuing an emergency notification to anyone living or traveling in the city or Cumberland County area.

Travel conditions in the area are “treacherous,” according to a release from the police department.

Roadways are icing over and a number of vehicles are crashed into ditches.

Police are advising people to limit all non-emergency travel in the area until roadways are treated and cleared.

Authorities are also telling the public to wait to call police if vehicles get stuck and there is no apparent damage.
