United announces nonstop flight from Knoxville for Tennessee fans heading to College Football Playoff game

A fully refundable round-trip ticket with United Airlines will cost more than $600 after taxes and fees.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — United Airlines announced a nonstop flight from Knoxville to Columbus, Ohio, for the upcoming College Football Playoff game between Tennessee and Ohio State.

The flight will leave McGhee Tyson Airport on Dec. 20 at 4 p.m. and return from John Glenn Columbus International Airport on Dec. 22 at 1:35 p.m.

As of Wednesday, Dec. 11, a fully refundable round-trip ticket will cost more than $600 after taxes and fees, according to United's website. There are also other flights with layovers available for the same dates.

The No. 7 Vols will take on the No. 6 Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday, Dec. 21, at 8 p.m.
