Cocke County EMA: 2 people safely rescued on Douglas Lake

The Cocke County Emergency Management Agency said crews were out on the water for a rescue mission Monday night.

COCKE COUNTY, Tenn. — The Cocke County Emergency Management Agency said crews were conducting a rescue mission Monday night on Douglas Lake. By 10:50 p.m. the agency said two people were safely rescued and their boat had been safely recovered.

In a post on social media, the Cocke County EMA said crews went into the water from Walter's Bridge in a jet boat. A video shared on social media showed the boat taking off with rescue crews onboard.
