CLAIBORNE COUNTY, Tenn. — A 19-year-old from Claiborne County is dead after striking a tree on Clouds Road Friday morning, according to a report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
The car, driven by Brianna Marshall, was going too fast for roadway conditions while traveling eastbound. While driving right on a curved road, the car started to spin uncontrollably, running off the road and striking a tree, the report said.
The Claiborne County Rescue Squad posted on social media Saturday that Marshall was part of the agency.
"Brianna Marshall joined the Rescue Squad last year as she was graduating from Claiborne County High School," the post said. "Brianna was engaged to fellow Rescue Squad member Ryan West. Please keep Brianna, Ryan, their families, and all emergency service departments involved in your prayers."
CCRS said funeral arrangements for Marshall will be announced once known.
