KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — CBC Football Analyst Rick Neuheisel stopped by Knoxville on Monday to share his thoughts on the University of Tennessee Vols along with other teams as playoffs loom closer.
Neuheisel made an appearance at the Knoxville Quarterback Club, which holds meetings every Monday during the football season.
"The Knoxville Quarterback Club recognizes weekly high school athletes, officials and Vol heroes from years gone," the organization said on its website.
Neuheisel said that as long as the Vols finish the regular season strong, there is still hope for the team to make it to the playoffs.
"Finish strong," Neuheisel said. "Get yourself to 10 and two. 10 and two is a fantastic record, especially given SEC competition — and so much football still left to play. And you're pulling for someone to beat Notre Dame."
Neuheisel seemed positive regarding the next matchup against Vanderbilt, saying that if the Vols lost to Alabama, they probably would not be able to take down the Commodores.
The Vols are set to take on Vandy om Nov. 30 at 12 p.m.
