CAMPBELL COUNTY, Tenn. — Campbell County will soon open a new location for a nonprofit that works with young people to make sure they stay healthy and plan for their futures.

The Campbell County Mayor's Office said on social media that the Dewey Hunter Community Center would soon be the home of the county's new Boys and Girls Club. The nonprofit has branches across East Tennessee, and the United States, which work with their communities to help families with young people.

They offer a variety of programs, such as an academic success program that works with students from Pre-K to the 12th grade. It also offers an emotional and social health program that aims to help young people develop social and emotional skills and a "YouthForce" program that helps teens develop skills for the workforce.

The Boys and Girls Club said the new Campbell County location is "coming soon." It has other locations in Knox County, Anderson County, Blount County, Claiborne County and Loudon County.
