A new film co-starring Burt Reynolds and Modern Family's Ariel Winter will be filming in Knoxville starting next month.
The Visit Knoxville Film Office and the Tennessee Entertainment Commission announced Monday that the feature film Dog Years has decided to bring their project to East Tennessee.
In realizing the impact this film could have on our community, the City of Knoxville, as well as the County, have been very supportive in incentivizing this venture," said Curt Willis, Visit Knoxville Film Office Director.
Reynolds has a long list of film and TV credits including The Longest Yard, The Cannonball Run, and Smokey and the Bandit. Winter is best known for her role as Alex Dunphy in the show Modern Family.
The project is expected to employ more than 100 people and bring exposure to Knoxville.
The film is still seeking actors, locations and local vendors. If you're interested in casting call information, have a location you'd like to submit or resources that might help, contact dogyearsmovie@gmail.com
According to a release, Visit Knoxville and the Film Office are working with the production team to set up a press conference.
