FRIENDSVILLE, Tenn — The Budweiser Clydesdales visited East Tennessee this week, showing up at a variety of different events including the Knoxville Veterans Day Parade.
The Clydesdales have been an Anheuser-Busch symbol since 1933. The Budweiser Clydesdales are known for their distinct look. They have a bay coat, black mane, black tail, four white stocking feet and white blaze.
The Clydesdales were in East Tennessee to participate in Knoxville's 98th Veterans Day Parade. They also had a one-horse show appearance at Weigel's in Alcoa on Thursday.
The Clydesdales will also make an appearance at the Food City in Oak Ridge on Saturday, Nov. 10 from 1 p.m. through 3 p.m. The address is 1199 Oak Ridge Turnpike, Oak Ridge, TN 37830.
Anheuser-Busch, its brands, and wholesale partners have been working with Folds of Honor for 13 years.
Folds of Honor provides educational scholarships for the families of military personnel, and now first responders who have fallen or become disabled while serving the country and their communities.
Anheuser-Busch has donated more than $21.1 million dollars to Folds of Honor, which has contributed to the delivery of around 51,000 scholarships.
Over the summer, the Budweiser Clydesdales had a cross-country tour to benefit the Folds of Honor and its local chapters.
The Folds of Honor scholarship application window is from Feb. 1 to March 31, 2024.
