Blount Co. Sheriff's Office searching for 66-year-old man last seen in February

BCSO said Michael Dwight Hurst, 66, was reported missing in October by family members who had not seen or heard from him since Feb. 23, 2023.

BLOUNT COUNTY, Tenn. — The Blount County Sheriff's Office said they were searching for a 66-year-old man who was reported missing in October. Deputies said family members had not seen nor heard from Michael Dwight Hurst since Feb. 23, 2023.

They said it was unusual for Hurst to not contact them for so long, and said his last known address was at 3050 Samples Road in Louisville. They said Hurst was last seen wearing a denim jacket with a plaid shirt underneath, according to images shared by BCSO. He does not have a vehicle or a cell phone, BCSO said.

Anyone with information about his location, or who has heard from him since Feb. 23, should contact the sheriff's office's investigations unit during normal business hours at 865-273-5001. People can also reach out to Blount County Communications after business hours at 865-983-3620.
