BCSO: Two pets dead after Maryville house fire Monday afternoon

The Blount County Sheriff's Office said people living in the home were able to leave it safely.

BLOUNT COUNTY, Tenn. — No injuries were reported after crews responded to reports of a house fire Monday afternoon. However, authorities said two dogs had died in the flames.

According to authorities, the fire was on Wildwood Road in Blount County, and residents of teh home made it out safe. The Blount County Sheriff's Office said the cause of the fire was under investigation.
