MORRISTOWN, Tenn. — One man died after he was hit riding his bike on Brights Pike Road Thursday evening, the Morristown Police Department said.
MPD responded to Brights Pike after 5:30 p.m. to investigate a fatal crash involving a car and a bicycle.
Officials found that William Kenneth Medley, 60, was riding his bicycle eastbound on the wrong side of the road when he lost control and fell on the road into the path of a Ford F150 traveling westbound.
Medley was pronounced dead en route to the hospital, MPD said.
The investigation is continuing at this time. No charges are pending against the driver of the truck.
