Bell Co., KY, deputies find 60-year-old man after Golden Alert issued Monday night

BELL COUNTY, Ky. — UPDATE (Jan. 16, 12:10 a.m.): The Bell County Sheriff's Office said Edward Farmer, 60, was found safe Monday night after a Golden Alert was issued.

The Bell County Sheriff's Department in Kentucky said it was searching for a 60-year-old man who went missing Monday night, issuing a Golden Alert for Edward Farmer.

The sheriff's department said in a post on social media that Farmer goes by "Sam," and had been experiencing an "altered mental state" for the past few days. In the post on social media, it said he was missing from his Dorton Branch home.

He is around 5'7" tall and was last seen wearing a black leather jacket with blue jeans and a black hat. Anyone with information about his location should reach out to Bell County dispatchers at 606-337-6174.
