Sevier County Wildlife Officer warns visitors of bears
Gene Parker, Sevier County Wildlife Officer District 41, said thieves should be the least of your worries with hungry bears roaming around.
“I think it’s important that people understand that our bears have adapted and have ability to open car doors in search of food, and sometimes door close behind them entrapping them inside vehicle," Parker said. "I’ve seen way too many videos that people send to news agencies thinking it’s cute that a bear will enter their vehicle and steal their lunch, but never consider these type consequences.”
