KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — School is almost back in session, and now is the time to start checking items off this year's supply lists.
Ahead of the back-to-school season, Washington Pike Church will host its third annual Back-to-School Bash event for students on Saturday, July 20.
Last year the event had a turnout of nearly 1,000 people. This year Washington Park hopes to continue that trend by giving out a minimum of 500 backpacks and supplies to students from elementary to high school.
In addition to school supply giveaways, the family-friendly event will also offer dinner, inflatables, face painting and more.
The Bash begins at 5. p.m. and will take place on 1700 Washington Pike. Tickets will be provided upon arrival.
