UPDATE 7/18/17: Sevierville Police Department investigators have said the teen killed in a hit-and-run over the weekend died from injuries consistent with being struck by a motor vehicle.
Cordell Breighner, 19, was hit Saturday morning, according to investigators.
The autopsy was conducted at the Knox County Regional Forensics Center.
SPD officers responded to Old Knoxville Highway at approximately 12:04 a.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2017 after a passerby saw a person lying in the roadway.
Investigators have asked for help from the public in locating the vehicle and driver involved in the crash. Despite investigating numerous leads and conducting interviews, no suspect has been identified thus far.

PREVIOUS STORY: Sevierville Police Department have asked for information surrounding a deadly hit-and-run off of Old Knoxville Highway that occurred Saturday morning.
The victim has been identified as Cordell Breighner, 19, by Sevierville Police.
Authorities said the vehicle that left the scene probably suffered heavy damage in the frontend and windshield.
Investigators also asked that body shops and insurance companies be on the look out for the suspect or suspects.
