Major fast food distributor to open first distribution facility in East Tennessee

The Anderson-DuBose Company said it plans to open a distribution facility in Jefferson City, hiring around 80 people once the project is complete.

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. — Jefferson City will soon be the home of a new distribution facility that sends paper and food supplies to major fast-food chains across the region.

The Anderson-DuBose Company announced Friday that it planned to open a $40 million distribution facility in Jefferson City. It expects to hire around 80 people once the project is complete, according to a release from the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development.

The release also said the company is a major distributor for McDonald's the new facility would support up to 450 restaurants throughout the area. The company started in 1991 when it acquired a McDonald's distribution center. It has since opened facilities in different states, primarily in Ohio and Pennsylvania.

The company also supports Chipotle locations in western New York.
