ANDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. — The Tennessee Highway Patrol said a 16-year-old died after a crash in Anderson County, and three other teens were injured.
According to a preliminary report, a 14-year-old was driving south on Frost Bottom Road and approached an intersection when the driver lost control of the vehicle. THP said it came to an "uncontrolled final rest" against an embankment on Frost Bottom Road and Highway 116.
The THP said there were a total of three passengers in the car — all of them 16 years old. The two other 16-year-olds were injured in the crash, and so was the 14-year-old driver. The THP also said charges were pending against all of the teens. It also said none of them were wearing seatbelts.
The crash happened at around 1:09 a.m. on April 1, according to the report.
