Lucas has a rare genetic disorder and needs the generator as a backup for his medical equipment. </strong></a>Thieves stole the family's generator. As soon as we aired the story, dozens of requests came in to donate to the Hembrees. Certified Generators gave the family a new generator for free and Phoenix Conversion installed a new wheelchair lift for their car as well. They've purchased new wiring, a surveillance video system, and an alarm that will let them keep an eye on the house, the generator, and their car. "We're very grateful that we had the support and donations to get the system we need to help us out. Instead of paying a monthly fee, another bill we didn't need, we just bought a system for the house and was done with it. We're very grateful for that," said Jennifer Hembree, Lucas' mom. The Hembrees say they received around $400 in donations to help make it all possible. <
