MARLOW, Tenn. — An abandoned structure caught fire at around 8 p.m. in Marlow, sparking a small brush fire, according to the Marlow Volunteer Fire Department.
Fire departments in Oak Ridge, Marlow and Oliver Springs responded to reports of a fire on a remote logging trail on the night of March 4. The fire was located in Marlow's jurisdiction but all three departments made a joint effort to control the blaze, said Marlow VFD.
The structure was reportedly difficult to get to but no injuries have been reported. The Marlow VFD said the location was abandoned, the cause is under investigation. According to Marlow VFD, The Tennessee Division of Forestry arrived on the scene to reinforce the fire line.
