WBIR has released an update to our mobile news app. The new app is much different than our old version.
You'll get the same great news and weather coverage from all over East Tennessee… but much more of it!

1) It's free. So why not? iPhone and Android users can download the WBIR app for their phone. If you already have the WBIR news app, just apply the update.
2) Enhanced scrolling navigation. It's easier than ever to stay informed… and you'll have the ability to see more of the important headlines from across the region and nation.
3) An improved weather experience, where you can look at live radar along with hourly and extended forecasts. We still have our WBIR Weather app, but now you can get both news and weather with only one app.
4) Real time traffic map featuring crash reports, delays, and construction alerts.
5) Live streaming. Watch live streaming coverage when breaking news happens. You can ALSO watch WBIR news during our regularly scheduled broadcast times. Now works for ANDROID users too!
6) Introducing YOUR TAKE – See news happening? Take a picture with your phone and easily upload the picture or video using the all new YOUR TAKE function within the news app. Look for other fun and exciting ways to share the sights and sounds from East Tennessee with YOUR TAKE. 7) Enhanced navigation control. You can decide the order of the news and information that's most important to you. Visit the settings area to customize your app.
