KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee football earned a commitment from five-star class of 2025 offensive tackle David Sanders Jr., he announced Saturday.
The blue-chip recruit is ranked as a top-three recruit in the 2025 class and the 247Sports composite rankings have Sanders rated as the second-best prospect in the country and the top-rated offensive lineman in his class.
Sanders chose the Vols out of a final four teams that also included Georgia, Ohio State and Nebraska.
"Tennessee showed me love from the beginning," he said after his commitment., "I felt that love from the very beginning. I knew that was home. On my official visit I really felt it and I felt that's where I needed to be."
The 6-foot-6 Charlotte, N.C. native received 40 scholarship offers in total according to 247Sports, and took an official visit to Tennessee on June 14.
Sanders is entering his senior season at Providence Day School, which is also the alma mater of VFL and NBA player Grant Williams.
