2.3 earthquake strikes Seymour, is second TN earthquake in as many days

This earthquake is the second one in Tennessee this week. Another 2.7 earthquake his Roane Co. yesterday.
The earthquake struck at 9:22 EST this morning.

SEYMOUR — A 2.3 magnitude earthquake was felt by residents in Seymour this morning.

Residents reported a shaking and boom in that area today. The earthquake had a depth of around 2 miles.

The earthquake comes amid severe winter weather for this part of the state, and is the second earthquake in as many days for East Tennessee. A slightly larger earthquake was reported in Roane County around 12:30 AM yesterday. That 2.7 earthquake had a depth of 11 miles.
