SEYMOUR — A 2.3 magnitude earthquake was felt by residents in Seymour this morning.
Residents reported a shaking and boom in that area today. The earthquake had a depth of around 2 miles.
The earthquake comes amid severe winter weather for this part of the state, and is the second earthquake in as many days for East Tennessee. A slightly larger earthquake was reported in Roane County around 12:30 AM yesterday. That 2.7 earthquake had a depth of 11 miles.
