Knoxville native killed in Myrtle Beach fatal crash

Myrtle Beach Police are investigating a fatal crash that killed an East Tennessee native Saturday night.

Police say the victim is identified as Carolyn Hicks, 70, of Knoxville.

Hicks died at the Grand Strand Hospital in Myrtle Beach due to trauma from the crash.

Police say, one person was arrested.

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Myrtle Beach Police are investigating a fatal crash that took place on 27th Ave. South and Kings Hwy Saturday night, according to Deputy Coroner Darris Fowler.

Fowler said the victim died at Grand Strand Hospital at 9:16 p.m. The cause of death is trauma due to the crash.

The victim is identified as 70-year-old Carolyn Hicks of Knoxville Tennessee, according to Fowler.

According to police, one person was arrested. More details will be provided as they become available.
