I have always called East Tennessee home. I was born and raised in Powell, Tennessee just north of Knoxville.

I went into college at the University of Tennessee not really knowing what I wanted to do. While there, I realized I loved news and wanted to be a reporter. That journey also brought me to the WBIR family as an intern.

After graduation I moved to Hazard, Kentucky and began working for WYMT-TV. I was trained in every aspect of news. I was a reporter and anchor for the 6:00 evening news, and I also learned how to produce.

Two years later, it was time to move home. I accepted a job at WBIR as the morning reporter in 2013, and I am so excited to wake up with East Tennessee every morning!

As an East Tennessee girl, you can bet I love Tennessee football! I was blessed with the opportunity to be a majorette with the Pride of the Southland Marching Band all four years of college.

My husband and I love getting outdoors and enjoying the Great Smoky Mountains and spending time with our family and friends here in Knoxville.
