MORRISTOWN, Tenn. — The Morristown community will have a free healthcare clinic starting Friday and lasting until Saturday, giving people a chance to get free dental, vision and medical care.
Remote Area Medical will host the healthcare clinic at Manley Baptist Church, located at 3603 West Andrew Johnson Highway. It is meant to make sure people who may not be able to access vital kinds of healthcare have a chance to see medical workers and get the care they need. The clinic will run until Sept. 21.
People will have a chance to get free dental cleanings, dental fillings, dental extractions, dental X-rays, eye exams, eye health exams, eyeglass prescriptions, eyeglasses, women's health exams and other medical exams. No insurance or identification will be required.
The parking lot will open no later than 11:59 p.m. on Thursday and will stay open for the duration of the clinic. Its doors will open at around 6 a.m. and services will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
RAM also said Saturday's clinic operations will be an abbreviated day, so patients should arrive as early as possible. It said patients should be prepared to choose between dental and vision services, but everyone will be offered free general medical care.
