GATLINBURG, Tenn. — The Great Smoky Mountain National Park announced dates when road crews will be working along the Spur.
The park said crews will be mowing road shoulders, picking up litter, cleaning ditches, removing downed trees and replacing missing or damaged road signs. They will be out Wednesday, April 24, Thursday, April 25 and Monday, April 29 to Thursday, May 2.
The single-lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on each day.
If you plan to travel along the Spur on those dates, be sure to pack your patience. Motorists driving between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge may experience temporary delays during the work, according to GSMNP.
