(WBIR) Three former Scott County jail employees face charges after authorities say they had sex with or allowed someone to have sex with male inmates at two detention centers.

A Scott County grand jury returned indictments Tuesday against Deana Keith, 28, of Oneida; Marie Elizabeth Gilreath, 31, of Whitley City, Ky.; and Tabitha Eloise Wilson, 27, of Oneida.

The women were staff members at the Scott County Jail and the Scott County Juvenile Detention Center, both in Huntsville, according to the TBI.

Eighth Judicial District Attorney General Jared Effler asked the TBI on Oct. 24 to investigate allegations involving the women.

"During the course of the investigation, authorities developed information that Deana Keith had sexual contact with a male inmate inside the jail while on duty earlier this year," according to a release from the TBI. "The investigation further revealed Marie Elizabeth Gilreath opened cell doors to allow Keith access to have sexual contact with the inmate."

Agents also learned that Wilson, who was a corrections officer at the detention center, "had multiple sexual encounters with an adult male inmate inside the facility."

The women were fired.

Keith is charged with sexual contact with an inmate and official misconduct. Gilreath is charged with one count of facilitation of sexual contact with an inmate and official misconduct.

Wilson is charged with official misconduct, according to the TBI.

Bond for each was set at $1,000.

The Scott County Sheriff's Department took part in the investigation.
