KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The University of Tennessee said Tuesday that its engineering and supply chain management programs earned accolades in a U.S. News report, and the university as a whole ranked 109th in the country compared to all other colleges.

The report said business-related programs were the most popular degrees pursued by 2023 graduates. In a release, UT also said the report ranked its supply chain management program third among public institutions and fourth nationally. The release also said its accounting program rose to 18th among public institutions and to 42nd nationally.

The university also said its College of Engineering ranked 37th among public institutions and 66th across the country. The computer science program rose to 29th among public institutions and to 53rd nationally.

The report said UT's campus is around 910 acres large and has an undergraduate enrollment of 28,883 students. The average high school GPA is 3.8 among its students, and they score between 25-31 on the ACT exam.

UT also ranked 300th in social mobility, which evaluates how well schools help economically disadvantaged students graduate. The top performer in that category was Florida International University.
