RUSSELLVILLE, Tenn. — A crash crashed into the building of an elementary school in Russellville on Monday, prompting it to stay closed on Nov. 28, according to a post on social media.
The Russellville Elementary School said the vehicle hit the front part of its intermediate building, and so the intermediate building would stay closed on Tuesday. Educators specified on social media there would be no school for only the intermediate building.
They also said no injuries were reported in the crash. The school said the building would stay closed Tuesday so staff could plan on school reopening.
Russellville Elementary School is located at 5655 Old Russellville Pike, in eastern Hamblen County. The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
