Big news for Dolly Parton's brain child.
The Imagination Library announced today that it delivered North Carolina's millionth book in December.
The program has been delivering books to children 5 and under since 1995.
According to the programs website, "Dolly’s vision was to foster a love of reading among her county’s preschool children and their families by providing them with the gift of a specially selected book each month."
It now sends more than 1 million books out each month worldwide.
Dolly's Imagination Library was also featured in a University of Tennessee student documentary called "100 Million Stories," as she donated the Imagination Library's 100 millionth book to the Library of Congress.
