TBI Top 10 fugitive back in custody after jail escape

Dylan Ferguson and two other men, Jeffrey Strong and Matt White, escaped by tunneling through a wall in their cell and went out a door.

A TBI Top 10 Most Wanted fugitive that escaped from a Tennessee jail has been taken back into custody.

Dylan Cecil Ferguson, 21, was found in Hartsville and surrendered to law enforcement according to the TBI. It said a family member helped coordinate his surrender. The TBI posted an image of him shortly after he was back in custody.

He was being held in the Macon County jail on criminal homicide charges and was considered armed and dangerous.

Ferguson and two other men, Jeffrey Strong and Matt White, escaped by tunneling through a wall in their cell and went out a door. They are still at large and several agencies are searching for them.

One of three inmates who escaped from a Tennessee jail has been placed on the TBI's Top 10 Most Wanted list.

Dylan Cecil Ferguson, 21, was being held in the Macon County jail on criminal homicide charges, according to the TBI. He should be considered armed and dangerous.

Ferguson and two other men, Jeffrey Strong and Matt White, escaped by tunneling through a wall in their cell and went out a door.

The Macon County Sheriff's Office said the three then went to a relative's house and stole a 1990 Ford F-250. The vehicle's tag number is 3B5-7V2.

Ferguson, who is 6’2” and weighs approximately 150 pounds, has brown hair and green eyes. He was accused in the death of a man in 2016.

Authorities have not released photos or further information about the other two escapees.

Macon County is located northwest of Nashville, on the Kentucky state line.

Anyone with information should call 1-800-TBI-FIND. There is a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to Ferguson’s arrest.
