CARTER COUNTY, Tenn. — UPDATE (May 24): The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said Jim Chambers was found and taken into custody in Louisiana with help from the Federal Bureau of Investigation in New Orleans, and the Louisiana State Police and the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said it issued a Most Wanted Alert on Wednesday for a 37-year-old man wanted by the Carter County Sheriff's Office and the TBI.
It said on social media that Jim Chambers was wanted for first-degree murder, abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence. The TBI also said a reward of up to $2,500 was being offered for information leading to his arrest.
The TBI said Chambers should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about his location should call CCSO at 423-213-0234, or 1-800-TBI-FIND.
