SWEETWATER, Tenn. — The Sweetwater Police Department said a person was in custody and another was wounded after a shooting on Tuesday.
The police department said officers responded to calls about a shooting at a Patton Street home. The police department said two men had been involved in an altercation at the home before the shooting, and one was wounded in the shoulder.
A release from Sweetwater police said the shooter fled the scene before officers arrived. However, SPD said he was identified as Elisha Goins and found within 30 minutes of responding to the shooting. Authorities also said they found the gun Goins is accused of using in the shooting.
He is being held on a count of aggravated assault and two counts of reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon.
