Officials: Suspects remain at large after carjacking incident at Clarion Pointe Hotel, SPD investigating

According to the city of Sevierville, witnesses told police that three Black men approached their car and ordered them at gunpoint to get out of the car.

SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. — The Sevierville Police Department is investigating a carjacking that happened at the Clarion Pointe Hotel Sunday night, according to a release from the city of Sevierville. 

SPD responded to the scene where witnesses told police that three Black men, one wearing a mask, approached their car. They said they were ordered at gunpoint to get out of the car. The suspects then fled the scene in the stolen 2024 Lincoln Aviator, the release said.

The suspected car was eventually found abandoned near Crossville later in the evening, officials said. The suspects, however, remain at large.

Officials said the suspects abandoned a disabled Jeep Cherokee at the carjacking scene, which is deemed as a "Be On the Look Out" to area law enforcement agencies by the Pigeon Forge Police Department.
