Where else would it be? Over $100,000-worth of stolen whiskey recovered in Kentucky

The trailer was painted over to hide the logo and disguise it as a storage trailer.

MCCREARY COUNTY, Ky. — Kentucky is said to be home for whiskey drinkers from all over, where people go to try the best drinks in the country.

Now, the state may be famous for one more story about whiskey. Over $100,000-worth of whiskey was recovered in McCreary County over the weekend after it was stolen from a Missouri-based trucking company, officials said.

The McCreary County Sheriff said that they could not tell what kind of whiskey it was.

It was found in a lot where truckers park their trailers, the sheriff said. They also said that it was painted over on the sides to hide the logo and disguise it as a storage trailer. It is owned by B&Z Logistics.

Police were notified by the trucking company that they tracked a stolen trailer from their lot to Pine Knot, in McCreary County. The trailer itself is worth $30,000.

The sheriff is continuing to investigate the stolen whiskey and said they hope to make an arrest soon.
