DANDRIDGE, Tenn. — Update (7 p.m.): One person died and another was wounded after a shooting near Dandridge, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said.
On Saturday shortly after 8 p.m., JCSO said it received a 911 call for a shooting on Daisy Way outside Dandridge. When deputies arrived, JCSO said it found two people with gunshot wounds.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said one person, a woman who it did not identify, was transported to the University of Tennessee Emergency Room and was in critical but stable condition, investigators said. The second person, a man identified as 47-year-old Johnathan Williams, was pronounced dead at the scene.
TBI did not provide any other details about the shooting Sunday evening.
The Criminal Investigation Division and the TBI are investigating.
