NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A police officer in Tennessee has been accused of domestic assault, interfering with a 911 call and vandalism.
News outlets report Nashville police Officer Gardiner Bradley has been decommissioned and was arrested Friday. A department statement says the 32-year-old man is accused of arguing with a woman he was dating earlier this month and refusing to leave her apartment.
It says he also knocked the woman's cellphone out of her hand and into a bathtub when she tried to call 911 and held her arm underwater to stop her smartwatch's Bluetooth function.
The department's office of professional accountability is conducting an internal investigation. Bradley graduated from the department's academy in April 2018.
