Morgan County corrections officer convicted of official misconduct

After a two-day trial this week, a Morgan County corrections officer has been convicted of official misconduct.

The TBI started investigating Shoffner after allegations that he and two other officer assaulted an inmate while trying to restrain him.

Shoffner is set to be sentenced in Roane County on March 19.
