TBI: Monroe Co. man accused of sexual battery at Madisonville EMS station arrested Wednesday

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said Brian Keith Hodge, 40, was indicted on a count of sexual battery and was taken into custody.

MONROE COUNTY, Tenn. — A man accused of sexually assaulting a person at a Madisonville EMS Station was arrested Wednesday, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

It said Brian Keith Hodge, 40, was indicted Wednesday by a grand jury on a count of sexual battery. He was taken into custody and brought to the Monroe County Jail, where he was booked and a bond was set for $10,000, according to a release.

The TBI said in a release that agents learned Hodge may have committed sexual battery against a person at the station on Aug. 24 and began investigating him, before ultimately accusing him.

Additional information, such as the specific circumstances surrounding the charge, was not immediately available. Sexual battery is a kind of sexual offense that can involve force or coercion, or which causes injuries to a victim, according to Tennessee law.
