MONROE COUNTY, Tenn. — The Monroe County Sheriff's Office said a "female subject" was taken into custody and charged with criminal homicide Thursday after deputies found a man dead inside a Madisonville home.
A release from the sheriff's office said the home is located on Belcher Gap Road, and a man had been found dead inside. While investigating the scene, the sheriff's office said deputies found the suspect and took her into custody.
The sheriff's office said the investigation was ongoing, and neither the names of the offender nor the victim were immediately available. It said names could be released later when the investigation is over.
