The McMinn County Sheriff's Office said Friday it arrested two people and was looking for two others after deputies responded to reports of a home invasion the day before.

In a release, deputies received a call at around 5:30 p.m. about three men with guns trying to break into a home on County Road 651. The homeowner said the homeowner had locked herself in a bathroom with a gun.

Deputies said as they responded, they saw a car "acting suspiciously" and detained its driver. A release from the sheriff's office said he matched how the homeowner described one of the suspects and he was identified as Marcus Bradford.

Other deputies went to the home and the homeowner told them three men kicked her door in and started pointing rifles at her, demanding she give them her jewelry, according to the McMinn County Sheriff's Office. She said she yelled at them to leave and went to her room to get a gun, and all three men fled the scene.

"The victim gave good descriptions of all the suspects, and based on other evidence the officers found, they were able to positively identify all of them," Sheriff Joe Guy said in the release.

Authorities said Bradford told them he brought other suspects to the home and dropped them off, and said they had left their wallets and cell phones in his car. Bradford was taken to the McMinn County Justice Center and faces an aggravated robbery charge and drug charges.

Deputies began searching the surrounding area and said they also found another suspect, Daniel Velasquez, walking down a nearby road. He was taken into custody and was charged with aggravated robbery.

The sheriff's office identified Benjamin Scott Croft and John Percy Barnes as the two remaining suspects and said each was charged with aggravated robbery.

“Home invasions in our county are extremely rare,” said Guy in the release. “But this is a crime we will not tolerate. If the public has any information on the two suspects, call and report to 911 immediately, or message me personally on social media.”
