SPEEDWELL, Tenn. — A man pleaded guilty to second-degree murder after a fatal shooting in Speedwell in August 2021. Michael Neal Jr. was sentenced this week to 15 years in prison, according to District Attorney Jared Effler.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation previously said it found Neal Jr. shot and killed 38-year-old Jeffery Warwick near a home on Powell Valley Shores Circle. It said Warick died as a result of his wounds.
Neal Jr. was indicted with a count of second-degree murder in November 2021.
