LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — A London man was charged with murder after striking a car on KY 192 on Tuesday night, according to the Laurel County Sheriff's Office.
Laurel County officials investigated the crash and found that Wesley Allen, 39, was driving westbound when he crossed the centerline striking another car, driven by 64-year-old Fred Johnson, head-on.
Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene by the Laurel County Coroner's office. Allen was taken to St. Joseph Hospital London for treatment of possible injuries. LCSO said he was later released.
According to LCSO, an initial investigation indicated alcohol was possibly involved.
Allen was taken to the Laurel County Correctional Facility. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
