LOUDON COUNTY, Tenn. — UPDATE (12:21 p.m.): A man who barricaded himself inside a home has been reported safe and is in custody, the Loudon County Sheriff's Office said.
According to Cody Bengel, a public information officer with LCSO, the call initially came from a family member who said the man was potentially armed.
Due to the nature of the call, deputies responded in large numbers. Bengel said the man was alone in the home. LCSO said during the response that it did not appear he posed any danger to the public.

A large number of Loudon County deputies responded to a person who barricaded themselves inside a home on Thursday.
According to the Loudon County Sheriff's Office as of 10:45 a.m., deputies were still responding to a home on the northern end of the county in the 4000 block of Harrison Lane in Lenoir City.
Deputies said there was no danger to the public, but are asking people to stay away from the scene as they respond. It is unclear what prompted the barricade situation at this time.
