LONDON, Ky. — A woman in London, Kentucky, was taken into custody after the London Police Department said she called dispatchers on March 25 to report her husband had been shot. Yolanda Lomeli, 59, told dispatchers that her husband, Manuel Lomeli Jr., might be dead, according to a release from LPD.
When officers arrived, they said Manuel was found dead from a gunshot wound. Investigators later determined that Yolanda pulled the trigger and was arrested. LPD said she was taken to the Laurel County Detention Center.
She is facing charges of murder and tampering with physical evidence, according to the release. LPD also said the investigation is ongoing.
